Delivery Timescale

We try to only send the freshest of eggs and start to collect once the order is received.

As the number of hens and time of year affects rare breed laying pattern we would normally despatch after about 3 working days dependant on order size. We are dealing with natural processes and not machine production so if the girls are on a go slow we will let you know by email and you can decide if you still wish to progress with the order.

From order to receipt on average will be about 7 to 10 days dependant when order is placed. If you are in a rush please contact us as we may be able to help much quicker.

Packaging

We use lightweight packaging for shipping your hatching eggs. The boxes are padded and shaped egg postal boxes designed to stop your eggs from shifting and safeguard them from bangs and knocks, as well as providing the ideal insulated environment for eggs in transit.

The boxes are made of low-density polystyrene, which has a superior resistance to impact than higher density polystyrene packing or foam and keeps its shape and strength for longer.

You can either reuse the polystyrene egg hatching boxes or repurpose them. They make the ideal base filler for garden pots, being lightweight and saving on compost. Dependant on order size these boxes are then put in padded envelopes of small cartons
